📢 36 municipalities selected to join the Waste Management Network of the National Federation of Tunisian Municipalities ♻️🏘️
As part of supporting municipal efforts to improve and strengthen their capacities in cleanliness and waste management, the National Federation of Tunisian Municipalities aims to enhance the skills of municipal staff through knowledge-sharing, best practices, and exchange of successful experiences.
🟢 The Federation announces the list of 36 municipalities selected to join the Waste Management Network, based on technical and objective criteria designed to improve municipal performance and efficiency.
🗓 The call for applications was published on the Federation’s official page from May 7 to June 12, 2025.
📬 More than 70 municipalities expressed their interest and submitted applications. A selection committee then chose 36 municipalities according to the following criteria:
✅ Technical capacities and exemplary experience in waste management
✅ Commitment to actively participate in the network’s activities
✅ Payment of the membership fee to the National Federation of Tunisian Municipalities
✅ Appointment of a representative from the sanitation department to the network
🌍 Geographic representation
📏 Municipality size (small / medium / large)
🏞️ Type of municipality (new / extended / rural / urban)

Gabès – Bizerte – El Ain – Sfax – Mahdia – El Guettar – Monastir – Béja – Sidi Bou Saïd – Hammamet – Sidi Bouzid – Douz – Djerba Houmet Souk – M’saadine – Dar Chaâbane El Fehri – Ben Arous – Sousse – Msaken – Mohamedia – Agareb – Kairouan – Lamta – Kasserine – El Hajeb – Kerkennah – Hafouz – Bargou – Ez-Zouhour – Hammam Bourguiba – Menzel Bouzaiane – Tataouine South – Dkhila Toujane – Bir El Hafi – Métlaoui – Sakiet Sidi Youssef – Hbira.
🤝 The network serves as a collaborative platform for discussion, knowledge exchange, and methodological proposals in the field of waste management.
📍 The network’s activities are part of the “Local Empowerment” project led by the National Federation of Tunisian Municipalities, funded by the European Union 🇪🇺.
